STATE ANNUAL TOUR 2024
The Northern section will be hosting the 67th State Annual Tour to be held 9th, 10th, 11th March next year. Planning is well underway and we are working hard to create an enjoyable and affordable weekend.
The State Tour is our premier event and open to all classes of club vehicles, so if you haven't taken part in a tour before, then give it some thought and join us for a fun weekend, good roads, food and great people. Entry forms will be out later this year. Also if you are needing accommodation we will include a list of affordable places to stay, at the end of this update.
On Sunday we will be travelling to the beautiful Northeast on roads seldom travelled by us before. Travel distances and time are easily achievable giving us plenty of time to chat and catch up. All planned routes are suitable for veteran vehicles and trailer parking will be available.
Accommodation suggestions - Olde Tudor Hotel, Colonial Hotel Launceston, Village Family Motor Inn, Aberdeen Court Motel, Abel Tasman Motor Inn, Riverside Hotel Motel.

20th October 2024 Gordon Fysh Memorial Day at Miena.

With the date for this event having been set, the planning for this event is basically completed. The actual Gordon Fysh will be held on Sunday the 20th at the Great Lake. This allows an opportunity to make a weekend away of it.
For Saturday 19th the Great Lake Lodge has been booked; they offer 13 rooms with 4 of these suitable for families, or share couples and by mentioning the VCCA each room will be discounted to $100, including a continental breakfast. For bookings the Lodge can be contacted on 6259 8179. If the lodge is fully booked, the options are the Great Lake Hotel and many BnB’s around Miena.
Following your evening meal at the Lodge, the Great Lake Community Centre will be holding their regular Bingo Evening should it be of interest to you, always a fun evening. For the day of the Gordon Fysh there is planned a small driving / skills test for the allocation of trophies in the Lodge Car Park followed by a finger food luncheon / presentation at the Community Centre.
Entry forms will be available from the website with instructions in the August edition of Small Torque.
